About Fay Young

Fay Young works independently with both individuals and groups as a coach, supervisor and facilitator. She is an energetic, creative and versatile individual with a broad skill base in Organisational Development and Human Resources within the NHS, developed from the basis of a clinical background. Strong communication and interpersonal skills enable effective working in multi-professional environments across organisational and hierarchical boundaries.

Fay has a MSc. in Human Resource Development (London), an MA in Communication Processes (USA) and a Diploma (with Distinction) from the College of Speech Therapists.

More recent learning includes an accredited Diploma in Coaching Supervision (CSA) and completion of INLPTA certified Diploma, Practitioner and Master Practitioner programmes in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), integrating the knowledge gained into her coaching practice.

Fay's career has evolved through becoming a specialist in Organisational Development with a focus on SMEs, working with both groups and individuals. She tutored for the Open University Business School MBA programme for a 15 year period, including two contracts in Ethiopia. An earlier African experience was gained through a short term contract in Tanzania for APSO (Irish Aid Organisation).

Fay has many years experience of the Health sector working initially as a Speech & Language therapist, including eight years undergraduate teaching. As Assistant Director of Human Resources in a large NHS Trust, she had responsibility for Organisational Development, Training and Development and Communication. She worked for many years as an Associate of the British Association of Medical Managers (BAMM) supporting Consultants moving into management roles (Medical & Clinical Director). Fay's final employment within the NHS was with the NHS Modernisation Agency in support of its closure.
